About Shaman Garage
Shaman Garage operates at the threshold where narrative, technology and materiality intertwine.
Conceived as a narrative studio, it explores how stories emerge, mutate and adapt across media. Through an experimental approach, the studio investigates narrative structures not only as vessels for content but as living systems that respond to the contexts, tools and people that activate them. Each project functions as a space of encounter between disciplines, formats and temporalities, allowing stories to exist in hybrid and fluid forms.
Founded in 2020 by Pablo San Gregorio, mathematician and interaction technologist, and Iván McGill, comic artist and speculative designer, Shaman Garage grows through close collaboration with Pako Portalo, sound designer, and Yuxuan Zhao, industrial engineer. Their shared practice blends technical precision with narrative speculation, developing works that span comics, interactive installations, workshops, and games. Rather than converging on a single aesthetic, the studio cultivates a shifting ecosystem of formats and experiences, with each project serving as a way to explore how we inhabit and construct fictional worlds.
